(More customer reviews)I have ulcerative colitis for 4 years. Medicine had bad side effects, so I gave that up after 2 weeks. Plus after reading online everything I could find about colitis I came to the conclusion that after more than 20 years doctors still do not have any clue as to what is causing it or how to treat it. The only way for me was to find an alternative way to fight it and heal it. This product is truly amazing. After about 1 week I have noticed improvement: less running to the bathroom and less bleading. At the end of the 1st month I had a dramatic improvement in digestion and went to the bathroom 2-3 times per day (compared to about 15-16 times with a lot of blood). After 1 month of taking Mutaflor I added Dr. Ohhira professional formula probiotics 12 plus. These 2 products together are the absolute winning duo for people who are suffering from this horrible disease. Now after I have been taking these 2 products for a little more than 4 months I have 1-2 normal bowel movements per day without any blood. I do keep a low fat, low meat, minimum fried food and no junk food diet. I peel all my fruits and vegetables. I do not eat a lot of raw food (cabbage, lettuce). The best food during healing was rice and steamed vegetables, baked potatoes, soft boiled eggs and freshly squeezed juice from apples and carrots or carrots and celery. Also be careful with citric fruits and tomatoes, they could cause more bleeding. I eat 5 smaller meals instead of 3 big ones.
I am planning to stay on this program at least 1 year and than adjust it depending according to how I feel at that time, but even if I have to take Mutaflor to the end of my life it is worth it to me.
